Hello, welcome to my blog.
I haven’t been committed to blogging recently and when I think about it, it makes me feel bad that I haven’t made the time to keep up to date with everything. But it does mean I’m using my time where I currently need it most and that is… Doing all my set uni work, completing assignments for all four of my units, reading almost all of the material we are meant to, researching data and information for my articles and assessments. So I feel semi good about not blogging as often as I use to because I am making progress elsewhere.
BUT I WOULD LIKE TO WISH EVERYONE A HAPPY EASTER AND HOPE THE EASTER BUNNY CAME TO YOUR HOUSE SO YOU CAN EAT CHOCOLATE FOR BREAKFAST!
(If you don’t eat chocolate on Easter morning, is it really Easter??)
Blogging right now does make me miss being so regular with my posts, so I will try to continue to post quotes and little snippets when I can! (and when I remember).
Catch ya on the flip side.
I’m writing a feature article for one of my units at Uni and I need some reference letters from previous interns that have been given to them from the internships they’ve participated in.
Has anyone ever felt exploited by their internships? Or did you feel like your presence as an intern was valued and your time was well spent?
Currently a waiting game. I’m forever waiting for my Uni to confirm my classes for this semester so I can get prepared and purchase myself some new books. I really love getting organised but I don’t know my classes yet, so I can’t organise anything! Know my feels? I also cannot believe I’m in my second year at uni, which is strange and came around so quickly like what the heck? But that’s exciting.
- One book usually lasts me a full year which is really cool.
- I print out and bind together my learning guides which has all the content I need to know in them.
- I have to purchase my parking ticket for the year.
I also want to paint my room, design a pattern and do something on the biggest wall in my room. I am unsure as to what yet but I’ll get around to it soon hopefully.
I have overnights coming up soon which is a little bit of a killer but they’re probably the last ones before uni goes back so that’s nice.
I’m thinking about buying a drone to use for my videos. Some of them are cheap and I think would add a really cool element to my videos, a new and different perspective. I’m reallllllly looking into it right now and considering just going out today and buying one. BRB, while I do that!
I haven’t blogged in 6 days and I apologise to you guys and myself for not making time. Although this is a reminder to have fun, (which is what I’ve been doing), (oh, I’ve also been working a lot). Work, sleep, smile has been my last 6 days. Which is great for my bank but I haven’t balanced out gym, blogging, my social life, or planning the next couple of months which are extremely hectic.
BUT, TONIGHT I AM ATTENDING A (VERY DELAYED) HARBOUR CRUISE CHRISTMAS PARTY WITH MY WORK. So that’s pretty cool and I’m excited! I even brought a new pair of pants for the occasion and they’re great. I did have to go and get the waist taken in a little which cost $5 but now they fit perfectly and I’m super happy with them! YAY!
ANYWAY; back to my reminder, HAVE FUN FRIENDS and I’ll be back tomorrow hopefully with another blog post and hopefully a cool video to edit and post on here!
I am currently waiting for my bank to transfer my money into my partner’s account so I can purchase a more customisable blog site!
This is because I don’t have a credit card or PayPal or anything like that.
But when it happens, (approximately 2 business days), I’ll be upgrading my blog and adding all my videos I’ve edited from Falls Festival and our Roadtrip. WOOOO HOOOO! I’m SO excited for that to happen as I really enjoy making videos and editing them, although I’m not sure about the Youtube space. I don’t know if I want my videos on there, maybe in the future but for right now, I just want to create an online space for my writing and my videos all in one. A creative outlet that is mine to enjoy, which is why I come on here and just write about all sorts of things. Mainly what’s on my mind, what I’m thinking about or any goals and ambitions I may have. It’s also a good journal, to look back on the things I’ve written and thought about previously.
I would like to spend more time making this space my own, I’m just finding the time in between work and going to the gym and family time and planning Spain and applying for internships and getting enough sleep. Man oh man, work-life balance is hard to find and maintain. But we’ll get there one day.
I’ve very recently started this little thing on my Facebook. Every Tuesday at some point during the day, I try to do it post in the mornings so the songs are stuck with the people for the rest of the day. So what I do is think of a past song or a popular older song that’s catchy. I Google the lyrics to the song, making sure the one I get is correct and I copy the whole song from Google. Then open Facebook and post the song on their with the hashtag #TuesdayTunes. It’s been going strong for about 4 weeks so far, so a month of posting song lyrics. I like to think that people have that song stuck in their head and that they’ll sing it throughout the day, unknowingly linking it to the post I made that morning. hehehe. I also like to think that they are unaware the little seed of that song came from me.
My most recent #TuesdayTunes was Maroon 5’s ‘This Love’ only due to them releasing their new album and the fact that of that song being the whole reason I got into them as a kid. Singing that song on Singstar on the Playstation was my life. I was no good at singing or Singstar but I knew all the words to that song and still do, can recall it off by heart. It’ll always be one of my faves.
My first #TuesdayTunes was ‘I’m a Survivor’ by Destiny’s Child. The song not being in anyway relevant to me in the relationship terms of things, but the “I’m gonna work harder” bit really hit my heart driving to uni one day. I just had an epiphany moment when I was driving and felt this crazy urge to post it. That’s how #TuesdayTunes started. So if you wanna take my Tuesday Tunes hashtag go ahead but I’d love to see it, so tag me in it or something.
