The 26th of May, my birthday. This year it’s on a Saturday and because I’m turning an age where there’s a 0 at the end of the number, I get a birthday week. I was looking at heading overseas but after much in-depth research have decided against it and to wait till I have a longer period of time to throughly enjoy what another country and culture have to offer. I felt a bit rushed to choose a place and organise a trip due to May being so close and not really feeling 100% on one exact place. I also found out that going for a longer period of time, I’ll get to see more, spend more time immersing myself for a lot cheaper rather than only going for 9 or 10 days.
THAT LEADS ONTO MY NEXT DECISION.
My Mum suggested I find something that I want to do and work backwards from there. So another research expedition began. Being a little bit of a festival-head, I researched music festivals that I be interested in going to. And guess what I found, a music festival, on my birthday, in Queensland, Australia. B-e-a-u-t-i-ful. Exactly what I wanted, it felt right when I found it and the rest is history. Nah just kidding, the planning begins for…
THE BIG PINEAPPLE MUSIC FESTIVAL!!
This calls for a hectic adventure up and around the coast of Queensland! The planning starts this afternoon, I’ll keep you updated with the line-up. But for now, I’ve gotta get ready for work (gotta pay for the trip somehow).
I’m looking for a camera or recording device for filming mainly. I’m currently just using my iPhone 7 and want to upgrade to something not too big but good quality. Any suggestions??
Here we have an updated site (that only took Jess about half an hour to decide the theme of). SO THAT’S PRETTY COOL!!
KEEN AS A BEAN FOR THE ROAD TRIP TOMORROW!!
I think this would qualify as my second proper road trip. The first being with my best friend when I first got my red P’s licence and could drive without an adult in the passenger seat. We drove to her caravan for a couple nights and had a hectic time at the beach, woke up early to watch the sunrise, cooked a mean breakfast (b&e sandwiches). That was almost three years ago, what in heck.
So yeah, tomorrow my boyfriend Alex, and I are driving to Byron Bay for Falls Festival. A 3-day festival and where we’ll be spending New Years this year which is so cool! First New Years I’ve had off work since I started at the ripe old age of 14. 5 years later and finally getting a New Years to myself and my boy, something I think I deserve and have worked hard for.
SO I’M VERY EXCITED!! STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES ON OUR ROAD TRIP!!
After finalising dates for my annual leave next year, I’m spending a week away as I’m turning 20.
When my Mum turned 50, she decided that when you turn a number that has a zero on the end of your birthday you can have a birthday week. Typical, I know right.
-end of backstory-
So I’m turning 20 years old next May (not a teenager anymore, what in heck??) and I get a birthday week. So I’m planning on going overseas which I’m super duper excited about (just read my past blogs) and I was originally thinking Morocco but now, looking into it more I’m thinking Spain.
I was also looking into Contiki and using their company rather than planning the whole trip myself. Any experienced people with Contiki or any travel company suggestions? I AM JUST SO EXCITED AND CAN’T STOP BROWSING THROUGH THEIR WEBSITES AND TRIPS.
Oh and a little heads up, this may or may not turn into a travel blog (definitely will). #pabsyvisitseurope
MY ANNUAL LEAVE IS APPROVED FOR NEXT YEAR, I HAVE GOT DATES AND EVERYTHING NOW IT’S TIME TO BOOK IT ALL AND CHOOSE A GREAT WEEK AWAY!!!
I was thinking originally of Morocco then looked into a few other countries and have just expanded my brain too much and now I have no idea, they all look so good!! I think I’m going to go with Contiki or a similar company so I don’t have to plan the travel and all the finer details, which will be great. There are so many great places to go, nice trips and countries. OMG! I can’t wait already!!
I was looking at the Mediterrain one, maybe Croatia, Ireland or Italy. I CANNOT EVEN CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT OVER THIS, IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME COMING! If anyone has any recommendations on places to go, sights to see, things to do or even companies to go with DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT hesitate to message me and tell me or talk to me about it because I would love to hear anything!!
I’M SO KEEN. I’ll probably travel with either my brother or my boyfriend, maybe both depending on whether my brother wants to come. I am so so so so glad this is finally happening and underway, I deserve this.
I am honestly such a big fan of Maroon 5. It all started singing Sing Star back when I was younger on the Playstation and a family friends house. “This Love” is the one song that got me hooked and I’ve just loved everything they’ve put out since. In that time I’ve been to one of their concerts and by God, it was sensational. I remember it so clearly, the lights, the hype, I went with my boyfriend and we were speaking with people around us about what song they think that Maroon 5 would open with.
They opened with Animals. I’ve still got videos and photos, man, that was such a great concert. Adam Levine was mimicking the guitar chords and he told the audience how they came about to create the song ‘She will be loved’ and it was just so cool. It is definitely up there with one of the best concerts I’ve been to. My mum came to pick us up afterwards and I was still so hyped I did not shut up the whole way home about how good it was. I can’t wait till they come back to Australia and tour again so I can go and see them play, they are my favourite band. I’m gonna try and find some videos that I took when we went to see them. I’ll probably post them on my Instagram if I find them, so keep an eye out for those vids.
I’M SO EXCITED FOR THIS ALBUM AND I’M SURPRISED ADAM LEVINE DIDN’T MESSAGE ME PERSONALLY TO TELL ME THEY WERE REALISING A NEW ALBUM. HAHAHA.
Oh, and my favourite songs on this newest album so far is Closure, Whiskey, Denim Jacket and the live version of This Love. The live version is so cool because you can jam out to it just like you were at that concert in Manchester.
Here’s a link to listen to the album, so anyone that wants to hear this art can click here; https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/red-pill-blues-deluxe/id1292109608
